Porsche Panamera In for Service, MOT & Rocker Cover Gasket Repair

Today at SP300, we had the pleasure of working on a very impressive 2011 Porsche Panamera 3.0 V6 Diesel Tiptronic S. This sleek mauve-coloured saloon came in for a full service, MOT, an air conditioning recharge, and an inspection of a minor oil leak.

The Porsche Panamera is a serious motorway machine, and our aim was to make sure it’s running at its very best.

During our inspection, we traced the oil leak to the rocker cover gaskets – a common issue as engines age. Although the leak was only slight, it’s always worth sorting early to prevent mess or future issues.

The Repair Process

To carry out the job properly, we removed the air intake system, diesel injectors, and some associated wiring to access the rocker cover. Once we had everything stripped back, we cleaned the area thoroughly, inspected the parts, and fitted new rocker cover gaskets.

Everything was then carefully reassembled, torqued to spec, and checked over.

We also took care of the MOT and completed a full aircon service and recharge, making sure the Panamera is ready for the warmer months ahead.

By the end of the day, the car was fully serviced, leak-free, cool inside, and ready to eat up more motorway miles across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and beyond.
